Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon

The Schoenbeck's and The McGuffin's made their way to the OKC Memorial Marathon. The 4 of us ran our first 1/2 marathon. It was an unbelievable experience! 19000 people were involved in the days events. I will absolutely do it again! I enjoyed it way more than I thought I would. It was a really fun weekend other than the fact our cat Farley died while we were gone. Matt and I hated not being there for the kids. Fortunately they have wonderful Grandparents that did a tremendous job of consoling them in our absence. We miss Farley but are happy that he isn't suffering anymore and we didn't have to choose his time to go.
Ready to run!

Enjoying our post race lunch at Toby Keith's restaurant.

Trouble

You think I would have learned by now that when she is quiet there is ALWAYS
trouble. I just wanted to get the bathrooms clean and when I got done this is what I found. It took me longer to pick up this mess than to clean the bathrooms. If there is a mess to be made Skylar will find it.

The Circus came to town!

We took the opportunity to see the circus while it was in town last week. The kids thought it was wonderful. They were really trying to figure out how someone could eat fire. I must say I was not much help trying to explain it. Other than sitting on the most uncomfortable bleachers ever the show wasn't too bad.

Tulip Festival!

I am really behind on my posts. I took the kids to the Wamego Tulip Festival a couple weekends ago. They had a great time. It's a wonderful event I can't believe it took me this long to go. The pony rides were a hit!

Emma and Bennett loved the giant corndogs.

He is Risen!

It was a cold Easter but we had a great day! The weekend began with Easter for kids at church on Saturday. (Of course I forgot my camera) We spent Easter Sunday in Abilene with Grammy and Gramps. The kids hunted eggs inside this year but, it didn't bother them a bit. Skylar was a lot of fun to watch this year. She spilled her basket more times than I could count. The excitement grew with each egg she found.
