It's over already?

It seems like just a few days have past since he started school in September.
Now here we are at the end of the year! My how time flies!! Next up Kindergarten. I know Bennett's ready now if mom only was.

Field Day!

Yesterday was a great day for the annual Field day! The weather was wonderful and the kids had a blast. Emma was so excited to head to school and couldn't wait for the popsicle at the end.
Emma and her great friend Payton.

The 3 legged race.
The girls were pretty excited about their win over the boys.

Happy 70th Birthday Dad!

Grandpa with most of his grandkids.

My Dad turned 70 yesterday. We were able to get the entire family together for a couple hours to celebrate. It was a beautiful day to relax and talk on the deck. The kids played in the "fort" all afternoon. In spite of Bennett taking a tumble into the creek and Emma needing help cleaning out her Croc full of mud it was a wonderful day. Happy Birthday Grandpa!! I feel very blessed to say that a couple years ago I thought he may have been taken home before hitting 70. Thank you God for so many blessings! I love you Dad!

Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon

The Schoenbeck's and The McGuffin's made their way to the OKC Memorial Marathon. The 4 of us ran our first 1/2 marathon. It was an unbelievable experience! 19000 people were involved in the days events. I will absolutely do it again! I enjoyed it way more than I thought I would. It was a really fun weekend other than the fact our cat Farley died while we were gone. Matt and I hated not being there for the kids. Fortunately they have wonderful Grandparents that did a tremendous job of consoling them in our absence. We miss Farley but are happy that he isn't suffering anymore and we didn't have to choose his time to go.
Ready to run!

Enjoying our post race lunch at Toby Keith's restaurant.

Trouble

You think I would have learned by now that when she is quiet there is ALWAYS
trouble. I just wanted to get the bathrooms clean and when I got done this is what I found. It took me longer to pick up this mess than to clean the bathrooms. If there is a mess to be made Skylar will find it.

The Circus came to town!

We took the opportunity to see the circus while it was in town last week. The kids thought it was wonderful. They were really trying to figure out how someone could eat fire. I must say I was not much help trying to explain it. Other than sitting on the most uncomfortable bleachers ever the show wasn't too bad.

Tulip Festival!

I am really behind on my posts. I took the kids to the Wamego Tulip Festival a couple weekends ago. They had a great time. It's a wonderful event I can't believe it took me this long to go. The pony rides were a hit!

Emma and Bennett loved the giant corndogs.
